We are casting 2 Female Egyptian or MENA region actors or voice over artists for a new site-based, outdoor, promenade audio drama recording this May.
This is a professional, paid opportunity. Rates and final schedule are still being finalised but rates will be industry standard or above.
Playing age: 18-30 years
Nationality: Egyptian or connected to MENA region (Middle East/North Africa)
Accent & dialect: Egyptian, Arab, Middle Eastern
Languages: English, Arabic
Voice quality (character 1): Clear, energetic, sincere, precise, engaged, emotive
Voice quality (character 2): Strong, clear, expansive, assured, earthy
Dates & Location:
Rehearsals and recording will take place between in May 2021. This is likely to be between 1-2 weeks work.
1-2 days additional recording might be required in June.
Location TBC. We are looking two actors to work together in the same space (safely and physically distanced) the creative team will connect with the cast remotely.

We aim to let everyone know by Friday 30th April.
We will invite around 12 actors for audition on Monday 26th or Tuesday 27th April. Actors will be selected based on their ability to match the profile outlined above. All actors who are invited to audition will be offered feedback.
Invites to audition will be sent out on Friday 23rd April. A selection of extracts from the play will be sent for actors to read in audition.
As part of our approach to casting for this production, we are actively searching for people who meet the profile outlined here, we are in touch with agents, have completed searches on Mandy and Spotlight but also wanted to open out to responses through an open call as we are open to hear from those either represented or unrepresented.
The timeline is much shorter than we would have liked – apologies if you feel this timeline excludes you. We want to do better in future giving applicants a longer time period in which to respond.
