We are delighted to announce that Ailie Crerar will join Independent Arts Projects in January 2020 as the company’s new Assistant Producer.
Ailie has been appointed following a recruitment process in autumn 2019. Independent Arts Projects received 56 applications from individuals in 6 different countries in response to their search for a new Assistant Producer.
Ailie is a performance producer and festival manager working to support artists to present their work, with a particular interest in championing women and tackling under-representation within the arts. She works across artforms, and has delivered projects for the National Theatre of Scotland, Mascarade Opera Studio, Untitled Projects, Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art, Paisley Opera, Soundplay Projects, Wonder Fools Theatre Company, Brite Theatre, Puppet Animation Scotland, and Festivals Edinburgh. She has previously held positions at Glasgow’s Centre for Contemporary Arts and with the Glasgow Film Festival. Ailie is currently also a Director of the Workers Theatre, a project to create a co-operatively owned and managed venue in Scotland.
Ailie said, “I’m absolutely delighted to be kicking 2020 off with joining Independent Arts Projects – what better way to start a new year than by working with fantastic artists on some brilliant productions! I’ve loved seeing the work that the company has produced over the past couple of years and can’t wait to get stuck into what comes next.”
We are delighted that Ailie will be joining us in January and can’t wait for her to get started.
