Allies in Activism

Some places left for our one-day event

10.30am – 4pm, Wednesday 1 April, Edinburgh

We have some places left for Allies in Activism, a one-day mini-conference in Edinburgh led by Jack HunterEllen Renton and Independent Arts Projects. The day will explore how we can build a safer, more supportive arts sector for disabled and neurodivergent artists, arts workers and audiences.

This event will create space for conversation, shared learning and practical discussion about how the sector can continue working together to improve access to work and arts experiences for people who face multiple barriers.

We have a limited number of spaces available for this event in Edinburgh. If you would like to attend, please note that places are free – we ask that you complete the linked form to register by Monday 30 March at 10am. We will then write to you to confirm your place the same day.

The sign up form includes venue information.

Thank you, Max

Finally, it is a time of comings and goings for us at IAP. Alongside so much recruitment (!) we are also saying goodbye to some of our absolute favourite people.
Associate Artist Max Alexander has been working with us since November 2021.

Now, after four years and four months, we are having to say goodbye. We have learnt so much from Max and his practice and have so enjoyed him sharing his expertise, his humour and love of play. He will be missed by the whole team. We’ll be sharing some reflections on Max’s recent work with Amy Conway, North Edinburgh Arts and East Park School in the coming weeks.

Thanks, as ever, for supporting Independent Arts Projects.
